Matt and Leslie Bosson | BLOCK C

15 minutes before the screening BLOCK

Matt and Leslie Bosson bring a fun and unique folk/rock/country mix to the BSFF stage. Can we call it “East Coast Country and Western?” Not sure, but let’s say that’s what it is until they tell us otherwise!

Biography:

Originally from the Northeast, Matt Bosson lived in Los Angeles for about thirty years, until he and his wife relocated full-time to Borrego Springs two years ago.

Having played music since he was a boy, Matt began writing original songs during college in Massachusetts and played bass guitar in a popular local punk band.

In the years to follow, Matt would play guitar and sing in various groups, most successfully with a country-rock band he started with his wife Leslie singing lead vocal. That band - The Running Kind - played for over ten years in the LA area and received critical praise for a CD they released in 2010.

More recently, Matt has released a 4-song solo EP as well as a collaborative collection of songs with the LA band, Ghost Town. A second collection of songs with Ghost Town is planned for release later this year.

Matt has a background in film and television production. His short film, Desperate Manny, played at the Borrego Springs Film Festival in 2017. His most recent short – BAD, which features one of his songs – premiered at the festival last year.
