5Q's w/: Burak Tatar "Prime Real Estate" Director, Writer, Producer

QUESTION#1: What excited you the most when making this film?: Adapting the short play, I directed throughout the city with the same actors - they did an excellent job, so much so that we had to film with them- and see them perform with ease at the location once again and working alongside the side of like-minded people. I’m proud of the work we all created together. Special Thanks to our playwright, J. Jacob Cox, for allowing me to adapt & film his play and Executive Producer Edward J. Fee for covering all expenses.

QUESTION#2: What was the most significant film you've seen AT THE THEATER in 2024, and how did it influence your filmmaking?: I see fewer and fewer films in theaters, and more films are either not commercially available at special screenings (including old movies ) or streaming.

QUESTION#3: What's an obvious and not-so-obvious question someone might ask about your film?: -How did you find/shoot at the cemetery?

-Is your film about Real Estate???

QUESTION#4: A magic movie genie is giving you an unlimited budget for your next production! However, you're only allowed to use it on either "above line" or "below line" resouces. Which do you choose and why?: Sing Sing’s Equity Model - The Ownership Mentality. I would love to do that. Where everybody owns a piece of the film, paid fairly, and everyone treats the work as their own.

QUESTION#5: What is it about your current movie that will influence your next film?: Courage and Confidence to do more. I’m amazed and content with how the film looks on the big screen. Did I do this? It’s an incredible experience, which encourages me to do more quality, art-from-cinema work, regardless of what’’ the industry’’ wants to see.
