COMMUNITY PANEL

Creating a story that ends up on the big screen is a heck of a journey. Now, try doing it as a prolific award winning author with best selling crime novels as part of your résumé.

What do you think? Easier or harder?

Either way, what are the strategies needed to shepherd a narrative vision through film production and keep it intact?

Time to get some answers from author Don Winslow. He’ll be at the Library Friday @2:30pm to engage in an open discussion about the entire process. Don’s filmography includes the Oliver Stone directed “Savages” the upcoming FX TV series “The Border,” as well as numerous other projects.

Join Don as he shares stories about all his films, including the upcoming adaptation of "City On Fire," the first book of a trilogy that’s being developed into a film by Sony 3000 Pictures. The initial movie is co-produced and starring Austin Butler.

Inspiration, screenwriting, and industry politics are all on the table during this exciting panel session.
